Plaid and leather are a pretty classic combination. I see leather skirts whenever I go to the thrift shops, so if you want to try out a similar look, it’s easy and cheap, if you don’t mind a bit of hunting for the perfect one. Mine was originally from Danier and cost around $10 thrifted. When buying thrifted leather skirts though, check them thoroughly for scratches or funny wrinkles – these won’t come out. Also avoid leather with a powdery surface which indicates age and hard wear.

I layered the lace leggings with the shiny ones since the weather is a little too cold for me to be prancing around in just lace covered legs. The fur vest serves the same purpose – warmth. The dress is actually a prime candidate for cold weather layering and oh so versatile due to its simple & classic design. It’s definitely going to be a vip(iece) in my wardrobe.

I might have jumped the gun by wearing this gauzy dress at the first signs of sun this weekend. Though the air was amazingly clean after all of the rain (a rarity in L.A.), it was still brisk enough to have worn a down jacket and been perfectly comfortable.

This blazer was acquired at the vintage swap a few months back. Since it’s unlike anything that I own, I was happy to take it home with me. The keyholes are a definite highlight. Next, I’ll be working on wearing this cuff as a necklace. Yesssss’um.
