This outfit brings me back to the days when I was a young girl going to
school in Jamaica. My uniform consisted of a navy blue dress much like
this one and a white collared shirt. I think it’s now pretty widely
accepted that the clothes we wear have the power to aid us in our
self-expression, but sometimes clothing becomes more than just pieces
of garb we use to express ourselves. For me, this outfit triggers memories of my wonderful Jamaican childhood.
