Christen October 18, 200926 Loading ...I love this outfit. The vest is soooooo perfect, and soft, and comfortable, and glamorous. And the way the pants drape is just right. I wore this to the pre-screening of The September Issue and everyone’s reactions to my outfit was really positive.

Christen October 15, 200923 Loading ...There are no words to describe how excited I am that animal prints are in this season. I love animal prints, especially leopard prints! I own several pieces but my favorite is by far this tunic from Zara. 100% silk and just about the softest thing you could ever hope to wear. I’m not gonna lie – I wear it often and I usually wear it exactly like I did in these pictures. It doesn’t look great over jeans and I don’t want to wear a belt over it for fear of snagging the fabric. And I have yet to find a skirt to wear over it to make it look like a blouse. It’s just not that easy to style. And yet, I wear it all the time.

Christen October 2, 200974 Loading ...I wore this dress which I have worn twice before on my blog: once as a dress, once over jeans and now over a skirt. I love shirt dresses for this very reason – they are so incredibly versatile. I’ll wait a while before I pull it out of my closet again but hopefully I can come up with even more ways to wear it. A woman at the event that night actually thought it was a Betsey Johnson and several people complimented me on it. Which is even more awesome because I got it for $20 off of the clearance rack at one of my favorite boutiques. I guess no one else liked it… but I’m so glad they didn’t because now it’s mine and I think it’s fabulous.

“I found this jacket at one of my favorite consignment shops… I fell in love with the fun, incredibly versatile print”
Christen September 20, 200967 Loading ...I love Marc Jacobs. I love everything he has ever designed or created. I love how his creations are always innovative and unexpected. Unfortunately, as of recently, my wardrobe was sadly Marc Jacobs-less. Until this beautiful velvet jacket walked into my life…. I found this jacket at one of my favorite consignment shops – Diva in Old Town Alexandria. I coveted the magically soft fabric. I fell in love with the fun, incredibly versatile print. But I didn’t try it on for fear of needing it as it was, at the consigned price, still $370. That, unfortunately is WAY out of my price point.
